The Edge of Bonneville

Probably best known for speed records and daredevils, the Bonneville salt pan is a surreal landscape in its own right. Rugged, geometric forms rise darkly from the edge of the white basin. In the late afternoon, as vacationers pass between Utah and Nevada on a painfully straight causeway, it’s a very fine place to linger.
