Medicine of the Dawn Warrior

ink and acrylic
20 x 20 in.

The painting reflects a warrior’s dependence on spiritual wisdom and protection. Certain warriors often separated and isolated themselves to keep the spiritual power active to protect the people. Fire, certain tail feathers of an eagle, the abalone shell, clear crystal, and the white sage of the four Cardinal directions were all essential for a warrior to bless themselves before a council or battle.
