I reside in Montana, close to Glacier National Park, where mountain lions are fairly abundant but rarely seen due to their solitary, reclusive nature, the dense forest, and their very wide range. They are formidable predators, yet very beautiful in form and function, with the ability to leap over 20 feet. A large male like the one depicted could weigh 200 pounds. These cats are always inspirational to encounter in their natural habitat.
