I was inspired to do this sculpture of owls after visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, where I saw a pair of great horned owls. I always thought of them as living in the forest. The owls are of interest to me as I hear them at night outside an open bedroom window. They like to sit on top of a transformer pole.
