Crown Butte, located in the Pryor Mountain Valley, is a camp for the vision seeker and medicine man, along with a protector. Here is where a young brave will go into the mountains with the medicine man and protector to choose a spot where he will fast and pray a lone for two to three days. He is seeking his vision and animal spirit, which the medicine man will interpret to give him his Crow name.
