The Rio Grande Pueblo world has an idea of dynamic movement within the culture: the movement of people, clouds, rain, migrations, underworld emergences. It also contains ideas of harmony and balance between these elements. Through the formal use of paint and mark making, these Indigenous ideas are embedded in my work. In the Tsi Ping Owingeh suite of paintings, it is my hope to share some of these ideas and feelings with viewers.
