Little Deer Returns to the Mountain (a limited-edition bronze sculpture) represents the return of all animals to the mountains of Kah’p’oo Owinge (Santa Clara Pueblo) after the devastating forest fire 10 years ago, during which they lost 80% of their forested lands. Little Deer is happy to once again walk lightly through the new grass and mountain foliage, which are represented by the green pyramid steps at the base of the sculpture.
